Giving Back
We’re a socially innovative business with sustainability at our heart. Our sustainability strategy is focused on making positive, long-lasting change to the planet and people in the communities in which we live and work. We also aspire to contribute towards the achievements of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Giving back is an integral part of our culture at Novuna. We offer lots of varied and exciting ways you can get involved and make a difference now and for the future.
Our approach
As the global sustainability challenge grows clearer, we've invested in meeting the needs of our stakeholders – our customers, investors, colleagues, and communities, through transparent reporting, people development, and partnerships with like-minded suppliers, customers, and charities. Our efforts are underpinned by our culture, vision, values, and sustainability strategy. At Novuna, sustainability goes beyond meeting regulations and targets. It's part of us.
Supporting our communities
Supporting charities and local communities is important to us. We partner with charities whose aspirations are aligned with ours. Our programme is varied and enables colleagues to support charities close to their hearts with Give as You Earn, events and fundraising opportunities available. By
March 2025, we’d donated over £200k to 71 different charities. In addition to charitable giving, everyone receives one paid volunteering day each year, or the option to gift their day to a colleague.
UN Sustainable Development Goals
Our charity, community, and engagement projects are dedicated to making a meaningful impact, always aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each initiative we undertake is thoughtfully designed to contribute to at least one of the 17 SDGs, reflecting our commitment to global betterment.
From alleviating poverty to fostering peace, our efforts span a wide array of critical areas. We are currently focused on meticulously documenting our achievements to provide transparent evidence of our contributions. This transparency not only underscores our dedication but also inspires others to join in our mission. Together, we strive to create a more equitable and sustainable world, one project at a time.
Fundraising
We have plenty of opportunity to raise money for charity at Novuna.
We offer matched funding up to £1,000 for individual fundraising events and £5,000 for groups of three colleagues or more. We also offer matched funding for companywide fundraising events, such as supporting Crisis at Christmas.
Anyone can donate a chosen amount directly from their monthly salary through Give As You Earn. Pennies from Heaven makes it easy to pledge the pennies in your monthly pay.
