What you'll do.
Our Fleet Compliance Control Team play an important role in keeping our customers fleets safely on the road. Your core purpose will be to oversee the safety and compliance of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) within our fleet. You will be able to utilise your technical knowledge and expertise, alongside providing first class customer service to ensure that all of our customers vehicles are roadworthy and legal. Your role will involve assessing vehicle safety, defects and fault reports to identify when repair work needs to be undertaken.
This role follows a rotating shift pattern, working 8:30am–5:00pm and 9:00am–5:30pm on alternate weeks. It is a hybrid position, with a minimum of three days per week based in our Trowbridge office. Please note that office attendance may be higher during the initial training period.
You'll also:
- Utilise your HGV technical background to prioritise and accurately categorise defects by analysing all information provided
- Support the development of the AI Reader by applying a technical understanding of documents and defects to deliver a robust solution
- Review and authorise certificated defect documents, supporting the team with technical HGV queries
- Ensure all unapproved vehicles are followed up with repairers and rectified to maintain 100% compliance
What you'll bring.
You're someone who has a clear technical understanding of how HGVs operate. You're a tenacious problem-solver with the ability to think on your feet and act promptly when it comes to making decisions. You have a real sense of drive when it comes to getting things done, accompanied with a can-do approach to assure the customer is always being taken care of.

- Knowledge and technical awareness of HGV maintenance and compliance
- A high level of attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise tasks and make decisions quickly
- Strong IT literacy across varied systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
