What does the role involve?

Reporting to the Head of Channel Financing & Product Development for Europe, the Relationship Manager – Channel Finance Europe will have gained knowledge and understanding of the Channel/Supply Chain Financing and/or Asset Finance products, End-User/dealer/ distributor and/or Vendor focused lending structures and products.

In this role you will have the opportunity to grow and expand your knowledge base with a genuine contribution to the delivery of the strategy, growth and expansion of the division.

You will work with the sales and distribution channels of new and existing vendor partners as a part of providing asset life cycle financing services and be a contributor the company's revenue and income targets. The successful candidate will have a history of success in sales and relationship management and be able to operate effectively at the senior management level. Demonstrating a proactive can-do attitude with a hunger to grow and deliver you will be afforded the opportunity to further develop your career as the division grows and expands through working with our European partners and customers.

As a Relationship Manager – Channel Finance Europe, some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Quickly gaining an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Mitsubishi HC Capital, Channel Financing products (Receivables Purchase (short & long term), Stock/Floorplan finance, Invoice discounting, Factoring, etc) and our value proposition.
  • Manage selected vendors, partners and customers to support and promote Channel Financing products to achieve divisional targets through originating & executing opportunities by establishing credit lines, pricing transactions, quoting & negotiating with customers, raising documentation, etc
  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of existing programs and efficient onboarding and implementation of new programs.
  • Create & deliver proposals and presentations to prospective customers and Mitsubishi HC Capital management outlining proposition details, rationale and outcomes
  • To visit customers and new prospects with a view to introducing Mitsubishi HC Capital as a partner or provider and build relationships for future business
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of relevant customer and vendor documentation understanding the rationale for structures and their key elements
  • Generation and maintenance of Channel Finance transactional documentation and pricing for new and existing programs / customers / suppliers / partners / structures
  • Identity opportunities to improve operational processes & procedures and contribute to efficiencies and continual improvements within the division
  • Support Head of Channel Financing maintaining performance trackers, etc and PowerPoint presentations for both internal and external audiences
  • Possess and develop a knowledge of P&L and Balance Sheet statements that demonstrate understanding when submitting credit applications
  • Monitor relevant KPI's (such as pipeline, performance vs targets, etc) putting actions in place (escalating where necessary) to address changing business needs
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders through proactive engagement, a positive can-do attitude and hunger to learn & develop

What are we looking for?

We are seeking an energetic and ambitious self-starter with experience, who sees this role in Channel Finance as the next step in their career, where through exposure to a diverse portfolio of vendor partners, comprehensive product suite and broad geographical coverage you will be afforded the required exposure and support to accelerate your growth & development, and make a real impact on the growth and expansion of the division as a whole.

Possessing the following will be the foundation for your success:

  • University educated to degree level and/or with Industry qualifications
  • 5+ years relevant Sales and/or Relationship Management experience working within an international corporate vendor Channel/Supply Chain Finance/Asset Finance sector
  • Knowledge of selling Channel Financing/Asset Finance financial services products including Receivables purchase (short & long term), Stock/Floorplan finance, Invoice discounting, Factoring, Leasing and documentation
  • European languages highly desirable – French, Italian, Dutch, German
  • Knowledge of pan-European vendor finance programs (hard and/or soft assets)
  • Knowledge and understanding of working and dealing directly multiple stakeholders including supply chain
  • Ability to collaborate, manage and influence others
  • Ability to think operationally and commercially
  • Ability to make sound fact-based business decisions
  • Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills – Excel pricing formulae, Pivot tables, Track changes in Word, create impactful PowerPoint presentations
  • Open minded with ability to think outside the box
  • Ability to pivot, adapt to change quickly and positively
  • Ability to produce and present impactful presentations, detailed reports and information that is easy to understand and compelling in its outcome
