What does the role involve?

As part of our continued growth journey as we expand into Europe, we have created a brand-new role for a Head of Sales – Europe to focus on key regions.  Reporting to directly to our Managing Director for European Vendor Finance, this role will sit on the Senior Leadership team where you'll contribute to the overall strategy and plan.

You'll hold accountability to a headcount of 11 incl. Sales and Business Development and will have 5 direct reports, who are based in Amsterdam, Staines, Dublin and Helsinki.  You'll work at a strategic level to promote the uptake of sustainable solutions and will optimise the function by enhancing the technological capability, including automation, digitization and increased use of data to drive decision making.

This role falls under the Certification Regime of SMCR, and fitness and propriety will be assessed prior to any engagement.

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Designing and developing strategies for sustainable growth in Europe
  • Identifying, assessing, qualifying and facilitating new vendor relationships to be negotiated, agreed and onboarded
  • Developing existing relationships further across both the UK and Europe
  • Building strong relationships with vendors, customers and internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding results
  • Leading and managing a multinational team of sales managers

What are we looking for?

You ‘ll be a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills.  You will have the ability to develop a high-performance culture and lead and manage teams in Europe on a cross-border basis and will be flexible to travel to Mitsubishi HC Capital Europe offices and vendor/dealer sites across the UK and Europe as and when required.

Also, we're looking for the following: 

  • Excellent knowledge of sales practices with programme and deal structuring skills
  • Strong knowledge of asset finance market products and sales processes
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate with senior colleagues
  • Ability to stay abreast of market developments & technologies and implement new and innovative products and services
