What does the role involve?
Reporting to our European Sales Manager in Amsterdam, you'll be responsible for retaining and developing both existing and new customer and vendor relationships whilst maintaining the business portfolio quality for The Netherlands and Belgium. You'll undertake credit due diligence, prepare credit proposals and new vendor applications and make recommendations with risks to the Credit Team and Leadership Team. Also, part of the role is to provide assistance to the Collections and Recoveries Team when required to minimise bad debt and write offs and contact delinquent customers and/or resolve billing and invoicing issues. Last but not least, you'll develop knowledge of local target markets, assets financed, vendors, product offering and legal documentation.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a strong mixture of commercial and risk management capabilities. A self starter who enjoys working in a small team supported by a large international Group. As the National Sales Manager you will be seeking to improve our business volumes in The Netherlands and Belgium whilst managing the current portfolio as well. This will be a proactive and hands-on role.
Also, we're looking for the following:
- Knowledge and experience in the asset finance / commercial lending
- Knowledge of commercial credit underwriting and collections activities
- Ability to work with and collaborate with colleagues in an international environment
- Ability to collaborate with and influence senior colleagues
