Trading under the brands of Mitsubishi HC Capital UK in the UK and Mitsubishi HC Capital Europe in the wider market, we are the rapidly growing European division of Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC that provides vendor finance solutions to support Mitsubishi group OEMs and independent vendors , their distribution channels and their key accounts across Europe. We build strong effective relationships with our vendor partners and develop bespoke asset finance programs and funding solutions for customers.

What does the role involve?

Reporting to directly to our Managing Director for European Vendor Finance, as a Business Development Manager – Europe you'll identify and deliver new vendor finance programme opportunities across the UK and Europe.  This is a pivotal role as we expand into Europe where you'll have the chance to make a real difference and help to shape our future growth.

Working in collaboration with internal stakeholders, vendors and customers, you'll ensure vendor programmes deliver targeted levels of income and meet Mitsubishi HC Capital Group's risk appetite objectives.

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Developing existing Group relationships in the UK and Europe by providing financial solutions to vendors and their customer base
  • Identifying new markets sectors and developing products, pricing and the structure of programmes to meet the needs of customers
  • Building strong relationships with vendors, customers and internal stakeholders up to C-Suite level to deliver outstanding results that meet requirements
  • Working on projects related to acquisitions and the sale of portfolios and preparing portfolio cash flow analysis

What are we looking for?

We're looking for a commercially minded individual who can maximise income opportunities whilst balancing risk management. You'll be good at building relationships and will understand how to navigate the sales processes for different stakeholders right up to C-Suite level and across multiple locations in Europe. You'll be flexible to travel to Mitsubishi HC Capital Europe offices and vendor/dealer sites across the UK and Europe as and when required.

Also, we're looking for the following: 

  • Strong knowledge of vendor finance programmes across a variety of different asset classes and products
  • Knowledge of credit risk with good financial comprehension and analysis skills
  • Good problem solving skills with a solution orientated mindset
  • Ability to stay abreast of market developments & technologies and implement new and innovative products and services
