What does the role involve?
Reporting to our Head of Operations, you'll lead a team of 4 to deliver new business operations across all of our European markets (including the UK). You'll work closely with our wider senior management team to design and develop strategies to support continued growth and deliver on our business objectives. You'll also lead, coach and develop your New Business Operations team, ensuring exceptional customer experiences are delivered to our vendor partners.
Some of your key duties will include:
- Shaping and leading the strategy and activities of the New Business Operations team
- Organising operational structures, resources, and tasks required to support each market effectively
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, vendors and partners by ensuring appropriate operational support is provided
- Implementing a culture of continual learning by coaching and mentoring the team to get the best out of individuals
Please note we adopt a hybrid approach to our ways of working which for this role will see you based from our office in Staines-upon-Thames (Surrey) 3 days per week.
What are we looking for?
You'll be an inspirational leader who enjoys motivating and developing teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You'll have good asset finance knowledge complemented by an inquisitive mind and a willingness to work collaboratively with others to learn and overcome challenges. You are comfortable with complexity and experienced in managing and mitigating operational risks.
Also, we're looking for the following:
- A proven track record in delivering excellent customer experiences in a fast paced, dynamic asset finance business
- Ability to manage a complex and broad financial product range across multiple languages, jurisdiction, currencies and cross border transactions
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong risk management skills to ensure quality and controls are effectively managed
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical terms to a variety of audiences. Any additional European language(s) would be a plus!
