Want to know a little about us?

Trading under the brands of Mitsubishi HC Capital UK in the UK and Mitsubishi HC Capital Europe in the wider market, we are the rapidly growing European division of Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC that provides vendor finance solutions to support Mitsubishi group businesses, their distribution channels, and their key accounts across Europe. We build strong effective relationships with our vendor partners and develop bespoke asset finance programs and funding solutions for customers. We are currently present in 5 European countries with expansion into additional markets underway.

We are delivering on our ambitious growth and diversification strategy through promoting an entrepreneurial culture and collaborative teamwork. We offer vendors and customers a diverse mix of standard and structured asset finance options and tailored solutions to secure opportunities that meet our strategic goals. This means our teams are required to work flexibly in a varied environment that is often exceptionally rewarding.

We're proud to be a Top 50 Inclusive employer. We're a signatory of the Women in Finance and the Race at Work Charter and we're Disability Confident Committed

What does the role involve?

You'll join us as the HR Partner for our European Vendor Finance Business Unit (circa 50 employees), reporting into the BU Managing Director and working closely with our Senior Leadership Team, Managers and colleagues who are based across our offices in Staines-upon-Thames, Dublin, Amsterdam and Helsinki. You'll focus your time on ensuring that we're successfully delivering on operational HR activities and requirements, working towards both the Business Unit strategy and our wider people agenda. This is a stand alone HR role within the Business Unit but you'll work closely with colleagues from within our Group HR functions such as Talent Acquisition, Reward and L&D, where you'll have access to their knowledge and support to help you achieve success.

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Providing customer focused, comprehensive and pragmatic HR advice and support to colleagues/managers in line with organisational policies, procedures and legal requirements
  • Actively working on the implementation and delivery of European Vendor Finance HR activities such as recruitment, onboarding and induction, performance management, training, benefits and compensation
  • Conducting ongoing research to comply with legislative and legal requirements in non-UK locations countries (including any launch into new countries)
  • Delivering an effective business partnering service to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team, working collaboratively with peers in Group HR to deliver on objectives

We adopt a hybrid approach to our ways of working which will see you based from our Head Office in Staines-upon-Thames (Surrey) 3 days per week. Please note that whilst there may be opportunities to visit our European offices we anticipate that this will be infrequent.

What are we looking for?

To be considered for this opportunity with us you'll be able to demonstrate professional HR Business Partnering experience within a corporate environment and the ability to plan, execute and deliver operational HR services within the UK and Europe. You'll have strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative way to support and influence senior leaders and managers, coupled with the confidence and resilience of operating in a more standalone HR role, using your own initiative to deliver at pace.

Also, we're looking for the following:

  • Knowledge of UK and European employment law - Ireland, The Netherlands and Finland would be advantageous
  • Experience of delivering Talent Acquisition activities such as vacancy briefings, advert writing, interviewing etc
  • An awareness of latest HR trends evidence through your continued professional development
  • Knowledge and proficiency of using HR systems

What can we offer you?

At Mitsubishi HC Capital UK we take our people promise seriously. If you join us, you'll have a chance to make a difference, opportunities to learn, and time to shine.

In addition to a market-benchmarked salary our offer to you includes:

  • An annual bonus scheme of up to 25% of your salary
  • A brand new electric car of your choice from a range of leading manufactures (insurance, servicing, maintenance all included)
  • Flexible hybrid working - 3 days per week from our office in Staines (Free onsite parking and EV charging available)
  • Up to 10% employer pension contribution
  • 25 days' holiday, plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell 5 days
  • Full wellbeing package including BUPA, digital GP service, 24/7 employee assistance, plus wellbeing events throughout the year

We've been named one of the top 50 most inclusive employers for the fourth year running and this is also reflected in our recruitment process. We are committed to ensuring our application process is inclusive and accessible to all candidates.
