What does the role involve?

As a member of the credit management team you'll play a key role in the underwriting, credit analysis and risk management activities that originate from Mitsubishi HC Capital Mitsubishi Group relationships and other vendor programs in the UK and other European countries.

Some of your key duties will include:

Analysing, reviewing and underwriting, within your delegated mandate, all vendor credit applications ensuring that you deliver an outstanding customer experience
Preparing credit applications for review and approval by the Head of Credit Risk and Group Credit for onward approvals to our parent company colleagues in Japan
Ensuring that any credit acceptance terms and conditions effectively mitigate risk; using Group Credit Policy and procedures for guidance
Working closely with colleagues across the business – Sales, Collections, Asset Management and Operations to deliver the best outcomes for our business and customers

What are we looking for?

To be considered for this role you'll have extensive experience of underwriting credit applications within the Asset Finance industry.

Also, we're looking for the following:

Knowledge of lending principles
Ability to make sound commercial business decisions
Ability to collaborate with and influence senior colleagues
Additional European languages would be beneficial
